“Can you really do all that with one?”

Found in most households and with an unlimited number of uses the humble tea towels can often be overlooked as the first class, multipurpose problem solver that it is.

It came on the scene to first dry the tea cups and dishes (often called a dish cloth in USA) but quickly added to its c.v.  table or tray decorative covering, hand drier, hot pot holder aka oven mitt, when folded over multiple times, cleaning  and dusting cloth.

Its uses go on to include –

Food coverer and wrapper

Packing material for breakable items

Ice pack cover, sling  or makeshift bandage in an emergency

Temporary nappy

Gift wrapping

Hot stone massage cloth when first heated in the dryer

Makeshift gardening glove

Instant wall art when put in a frame or stretched over a canvas

The list goes on as it adapts to save many different situations at any time of the day or night.
