Hi I’m Jules - Nature Artist!

A zig zag path

A life of adventures, challenges and laughs across the globe. Travelling many nautical and land miles, lots of homes and a few different careers has been my life so far. It all started from a small town in England.

My journey with art began watching Disney cartoons and drawing Mickey mouse. My dog “Joe” became my first uncooperative life model. Striving to capture an animals personality and to give them a voice amongst humans has been a life long goal especially when they wont stand still ! Watercolour and ink is my favourite go to medium, unless I want to work big on canvas or boards letting loose the oil paints for more fun and texture.

I know from my travel experiences that finding that unique, affordable, unbreakable gift or souvenir for family or friends is no easy feat. Throw into the mix that they love animals and art to really set the challenge. This pushed me to the creation of my useable art range and the use of the unsung hero of the household - THE TEA TOWEL - to showcase and share my artwork. Since my business launch my Aussie printed tea towels have been made into lumber cushions, face masks during Covid and framed artworks for the kitchen wall. There really is no holding back a gifted tea towels with its multitude of lifetime uses - see blog post for ideas.

Helping Our Wildlife

Painting wildlife over the years brought an awareness of volunteer charities inundated with calls of help from the public to aid our furry, feathered and slithery cohabitants. Stating “I have a love for animals” suddenly wasn’t enough. Now a trained rescue volunteer with WIRES and the Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary I get to be more useful in our native animals welfare.

My art supplies now live in my rescue basket awaiting that emergency call out even if my pencil is poised.

If you would like to donate to this wonderful charity, press the button below and it will take you direct to the WIRES donation page.
